Dale Mabry Campus Gallery221 presents world premier

“Secret Language of Intimacy” to be exhibited August 17 – September 24

The premier exhibit of “Secret Language of Intimacy,” a unique, creative, and life-affirming collaborative effort by Kevin Mooney, author and poet, and visual artist Saumitra Chandratreya,

will be presented at Hillsborough Community College Dale Mabry Campus Gallery221, Tampa from Monday, August 17 to Thursday, September 24.

Kevin Mooney has taken the perception of emotions in relationships and transcribed them into a poetic form of language.  Saumitra Chandratreya has interpreted that language into abstract artistic images.  Both are interpretations of the same emotion; the viewer is encouraged to use both translations to experience the emotion themselves.

Mooney, resident of Venice, FL¸ in addition to his writing, is a minister and Reiki Master.  He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University.  Chandratreya, living and working in St. Petersburg, FL, is a fiber and installation artist.  He received a Master of Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

An introduction to this extraordinary undertaking may be seen in the comfort of your home: www.SecretLanguageOfIntimacy.com This website gives insight to the project and a link to a virtual tour which is described as “Poetic Language of the Soul.”

The “Secret Language of Intimacy” exhibit is free and open to the public.   To respect social distancing, registration is required.  To schedule your visit go to the Gallery’s website: www.hccfl.edu/campus-life/arts/galleries-hcc/gallery221/future-exhibitions-gallery221.
